After the interruption in the supply of electricity from Tarbela also, the breakdown of electricity in the country intensified.

According to the sources, there has been a disruption in electricity supply from Tarbela, after which the breakdown has started in Central Punjab after Karachi, Hyderabad, Balochistan and South Punjab.

Sources say that the system of LESCO is also tripping, the grid frequency has also gone below 50 which is alarming, many grid stations of LESCO are being shut down simultaneously.

Sources have said that the power ministry has ordered an inquiry into the current crisis, the high-level committee will bring out the facts in 2 days, the power ministry claims that the system will be restored by 9 pm.

It should be noted that there has been a major power breakdown in various cities of the country including Karachi due to the malfunction in the National Grid.

According to the sources, due to disruption in the National Grid, 6,000 megawatts of electricity has gone out of the system, and operations are underway to restore it.

Due to the fault in the National Grid, a large part of Karachi has lost electricity, due to the non-availability of electricity, water supply from Dhabeji to Karachi has also been stopped.

K Electric has claimed that power has been restored to strategic installations and hospitals, power has been restored in several areas, but most of the areas are still deprived of electricity.

Two high voltage lines fell simultaneously near Karachi: Energy Minister

On the other hand, Federal Minister of Energy Khurram Dastgir has said that two high voltage lines fell at the same time near Karachi, which is surprising. After restoring megawatt power, electricity has been restored in Faisalabad and Multan region.

On the other hand, the NTDC officials failed to tell the Senate Standing Committee where and why the electricity was tripped.

In the meeting of the Standing Committee, the officials of the Ministry of Electricity said that the line of NTDC has been tripped, sharing the details will spread more anxiety. Senator Saifullah asked in which area the line tripped.

NTDC officials said that 2 grid stations of Fesco have tripped, 500 KV transmission lines were damaged, it was found that there was a blackout in the morning, power supply to HESCO, SEPCO and KISCO has been stopped.

The chairman of the standing committee expressed his anger on the NTDC officials and said that you do not know anything, the king is a man, the funeral of transmission lines in the country has taken place.
