This data is also updated online every day. In Jammu and Kashmir, 2.3 percent of the total number of animals i.e. 72 thousand have been affected by lumpy skin disease. The recovery rate is 90 percent while the death rate is only 4 percent. Additional Chief Secretary asked to take steps to reduce the mortality rate of animals in Kashmir division. He asked all the districts to update the data online regularly.
Along with this, the same experts asked the farmers to give the already proposed medicine to the animals for the next ten days so that this disease can be avoided. By this blood clotting can be avoided and animals can also be saved from dying. He asked the farmers to take advantage of government health schemes. Technical Officer Dr. Arif also assured to monitor all the animals brought to Jammu and Kashmir. He said that sufficient quantity of vaccine is available.
