Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore Police has detained 3 more drug peddlers yesterday, not only this, a huge quantity of drugs has been recovered from them.
According to sources, while patrolling at Unique Public School in Dooru, the police caught 3 people under suspicious circumstances. During their search, the police recovered 672 tablets of a banned psychotropic substance from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Shahbaz Ahmad Dangru s/o Ghulam Mohiuddin, Ishfaq Ahmad Chopan s/o Ghulam Nabi and Waseem Ahmad Hajam s/o Muhammad Akbar. The accused Shahbaz and Ishfaq are both residents of Machipora Bomai while Waseem belongs to Peer Mohalla Dooru.
This case has been registered at Police Station Sopore. Let us tell you that a case will be initiated against all the three accused under relevant sections of the law. At present, further interrogation of the accused is going on.
The general public of the area has appreciated the efforts of the Sopore Police and has also shown willingness to support the police to eliminate the growing menace of drug abuse from the society.
