A meeting of the Welfare and Finance Committee of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Press Foundation was held under the chairmanship of Committee Chairman / Information Secretary Yaqoob. Secretary Press Foundation / Director General Information Raja Azhar Iqbal briefed the Secretary Information / Chairman Welfare and Finance Committee about Press Foundation and said that Press Foundation is active for the welfare of journalists and multifolds the welfare amount. It has been increased. Information Secretary Yaqoob expressed his happiness and called the measures welcome. In the meeting, a sum of 29 lakh 48 thousand rupees was approved by consensus for Members Press Foundation. On this occasion, Vice Chairman Press Foundation Syed Abrar Haider drew the attention of the Chairman Committee to the amount of 7 crores announced by Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas. Addressing the meeting, Chairman Committee / Secretary Information Yaqub said that the welfare of journalists is the first priority and all available resources are being utilized for this purpose. He expressed his happiness on the financial management of the Press Foundation to provide maximum facilities to the journalists, especially for education and medical treatment. He said that he believes in the freedom of the media. Media representatives must be prosperous. All possible facilities will be provided to the journalists as per the instructions of the government. Increasing the resources of the Press Foundation is inevitable. In the meeting, 17 lakh 47 thousand 755 rupees in favor of Members Press Foundation, while 4 lakh rupees per person in favor of the families of the deceased members Press Foundation journalists, a total of 12 lakh rupees were given to the families of 3 journalists and members of Press Foundation. Information Coordinator / Secretary Press Foundation Raja Azhar Iqbal, Vice Chairman Press Foundation Syed Abrar Haider, Members Welfare Committee Arif Kashmiri, Khawaja Sarfaraz Ahmed Bande, Assistant Secretary Press Foundation Syed Basharat Hussain Kazmi, Assistant Press Foundation Raja Sajjad were also present in the meeting.
