Kashmiri Students Rally in Support of Freedom Movement in Sehnsa

The absence of a functional transformer in Girls Degree College has not only disrupted lectures in the laboratories but has also become a symbol of the systematic neglect faced by educational institutions in the region. Faced with low voltage and substandard facilities, the students have taken a stand against the oppressive conditions that hinder their educational progress.

The protest, organized by the students, gained traction as they blocked Sahnsa Badli Road near JS Bank Road, causing a significant disruption to the local traffic. Assistant Commissioner Sahnsa, Yaser Mahmood Chaudhry, Tehsildar Muhammad Ishaq, and Chairman of Municipal Committee Sahnsa, Raja Shakil Zia, engaged in negotiations with the students, recognizing the validity of their demands and the urgency for immediate action.

As the protest unfolded, Raja Shakil Zia reached out to Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq, a prominent member of the Assembly and a staunch advocate for the freedom movement, to seek his support and intervention. However, the students have set a ten-day deadline for the Sahnsa administration to fulfill its promises, particularly in providing a functioning transformer to Girls Degree College.
