Protest in Union Council Khilana Ends

Hattian Bala, June 15, 2023: (Azadi Times) The protest in Union Council Khilana has ended, but the people of the area are not satisfied with the outcome.

The protest was called by the All-Party Alliance Khilana to demand basic amenities, such as roads, electricity, and water. The protest had been going on for over a week, and the protesters had blocked the main road leading to the town.

The protest ended after a meeting between Faisal Rashid Abbasi, the Chairman of Union Council Khulana, and Raja Farooq Haider Khan, the former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. However, the details of the meeting have not been released.

Chaudhry Manzoor Bahlot, the central leader of the People’s Party Union Council Khulana, expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome of the meeting. He said that the people of Khulana will not compromise on their demands and that they will continue to protest until their demands are met.

“We will not surrender under any circumstances,” Bahlot said. “We have taken the dead bodies of our loved ones. How can we bargain for the lives of our loved ones based on political affiliation? We will never allow this to happen.”

Bahlot said that the people of Khulana are determined to get their rights, and that they will not rest until their demands are met.

“We have come out as the defenders of the people’s rights,” he said. “We promise that there will be no deal or relaxation. The people should be satisfied and wait for the public protest call.”
