Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee Uses Excavator to Clear Blocked Roads Amid AJK Authorities’ Closure

Mirpur: In response to the closure of major roads in Pakistani-administered Jammu and Kashmir, the Joint Awami Action Committee has taken a decisive step.

The decision comes ahead of a planned land march from Bhimber, Mirpur and Kotli to Muzaffarabad, highlighting the ongoing AJK rights movement in the region.

Faced with road blockages orchestrated by the AJK authorities, the committee has mobilized excavator machines with long march to clear the obstructed routes.

Despite the urgent need for access, authorities have refused to open the roads, even blocking passage for ambulances.

This move reflects the escalating frustration among residents and activists over the lack of basic rights and freedom of movement in the Pakistani controlled Jammu Kashmir.

The closure of vital roads not only impedes daily life but also poses significant challenges in emergency situations.

The AJK authorities’ decision to shut down all major roads has sparked condemnation from various quarters, with concerns raised over the infringement of fundamental rights.

As tensions continue to mount, the plight of the people caught in the midst of political turmoil remains a pressing concern.
