The educational future of the students is in jeopardy. More than one lakh people in various rural areas of Jhelum Valley are deprived of mobile phone and internet facilities
According to the details, the rural areas of Jhelum Valley include Sadak Chinari, Indrasiri, Amrasawan, Chanuian, Garthama, Bandi Syedan, Jaskul, Sarban, Nagni, Pahl, Gadmanda, Jabra Syedan, #Nardjiyan More than half of the rural population is unable to access the basic facilities of mobile phone and internet connectivity. The people of these areas have demanded from the federal government, independent government, and PTA that on the one hand PTA and PTCL country, On the other hand, the people of the said areas of Jhelum Valley are deprived of the right to this basic facility. The government and the PTA have already been informed about this through print and electronic media. But no hearing was held. The people of the area said that due to lack of mobile phone service, they have to spend thousands of rupees to travel to miles to get calls and online classes. Students studying in different universities are also taking online classes at home due to coronavirus and lockdown. The lack of mobile and internet service in the country has also jeopardized the educational future of millions of students.
The people of the area, political, social, welfare organizations, journalists, and the business community have demanded that the PTA provide mobile and internet services in these areas. In order to provide basic phone service, relevant companies like Mobilink, Telenor, Ufone, Warid, Zong should be instructed to take steps to ensure immediate coverage so that students do not face any educational disadvantage.
