Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir – The Kashmir Premier League festival will be held in Azad Kashmir next month, with famous players from across the country set to compete in the tournament.
The festival is being organized by Al-Hayat Group under the Kashmir Premier League Talent Hunt Program. Teams from ten districts of Azad Kashmir participated in the Kashmir Premier Feeder League, which served as a qualifying tournament for the festival.
In the final match of the feeder league, Mirpur defeated Rawalkot after an easy match. The closing ceremony of the feeder league was attended by Speaker Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Chairman Al-Hayat Group Jahanzeb Alam, CEO of Kashmir Premier League Chaudhry Shehzad, Vice President Saqib Rahman and Manager Cricket Operations Tanveer Mughal.
Speaking at the ceremony, Speaker Akbar said that sports have been boosted by platforms like the feeder league. He said that young players should get more opportunities in the Kashmir Premier League and that it is necessary to establish a sports academy in Azad Kashmir.
Chairman Alam said that Azad Kashmir has exceptional cricket talent and that the Kashmir Premier League is bringing out that talent. CEO Shehzad said that the Kashmir Premier League season 3 festival will be held in August next month.
The festival is expected to be a major boost for cricket in Azad Kashmir and will provide a platform for young players to showcase their talent. It is also expected to attract a large number of spectators from across the country.
