Population census in Poonch division started from March 1

Rawalkot (PID) Commissioner Poonch Division Chaudhry Mohammad Farid has said that the Deputy Commissioners of the districts should use all available resources to successfully conduct the census that started from March 1. All arrangements for the census should be completed ahead of time. All kinds of obstacles should be removed for the first digital census. He said that the supply of tablets to the trained enumerators should be completed before February 24. He directed the concerned to make foolproof security arrangements during the census. Commissioner Poonch Division was talking to the officers during a high-level meeting in the conference hall of his office. In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Poonch Badramneer, while Deputy Commissioner Sidhanoti Dr. Umar Azam Khan, Deputy Commissioner Bagh Hameed Kayani, Deputy Commissioner Haveli, Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent of Police of the four districts through video link and Deputy Director of Information Poonch Division Saadullah Khan, Honorable Local Government Asif Kayani, representatives of the Pakistan Armed Forces, NADRA officials and representatives of the Statistical Institute attended the meeting.
In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioners of the four districts briefed Commissioner Poonch about the arrangements and problems for the census in their respective districts, while the representatives of the Superintendent of Police and the Pakistan Army briefed on the foolproof security arrangements during the census.
Commissioner Poonch Chaudhry Muhammad Farid while addressing the meeting further said that the problems of various districts regarding census will be resolved. He said that all concerned should work in harmony with each other so that the national duty of census can be fulfilled.
