JAMMU: Jailed in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Muhammad Yasin Malik has refused to end his hunger strike against fake cases against him and unfair Indian court proceedings.
Azadi Times – According to the Indian newspaper, prison authorities said that Yasin Malik refused to eat food on Friday and announced an indefinite hunger strike.
A senior jail official said that jail authorities met him and asked about his demand. Yasin Malik told him that his case was not being investigated properly.
The prison authorities tried to convince them to end their strike, but they refused.
It should be remembered that last month the NIA court had sentenced him to life imprisonment and a fine of one million rupees on charges of money laundering, while separate cases are pending against him in the CBI and TADA courts in Jammu.
