We should not look outside for everything, our people’s responsibility is our own: Army Chief

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa says that we should not look to the international community for everything, the responsibility of our people is our own.

According to ISPR, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited various flood-affected areas of Sindh and spent time with flood victims at relief and medical camps.

According to ISPR, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also met the military personnel engaged in rescue and relief activities in Dadu and directed that 5,000 tents be provided to the flood victims in Dadu and surrounding areas.

Speaking to the media on this occasion, the Army Chief said that he has visited all the flood-affected areas of Pakistan. I have come today. I think the worst disaster has happened in this area. The rescue work in the rest of the areas is almost over. Rescue work is going on here.

The army chief said that people from all over Pakistan are giving aid to the flood victims at this time, a lot of aid is coming from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the people of Sindh are requested to come forward and bring aid. Therefore, the international community should not look, the flood victims are in a lot of trouble, come forward for them.

He said that the international community has started its work, the people of the World Food Program and USAID have also come, the Secretary General of the United Nations has come, flights have started coming from different countries, the international community is responsible for everything. It should not be seen, the responsibility of our people is our own.

He added that we have always been prepared for the flood coming through the river, we were not prepared for it if 1700 mm of rain falls in a week in an area that receives 50 mm of rain in a year, Manchhar Lake and There is a distance of 100 km between Hamal Lake and they have joined together.
