Electricity bills to rise by $2 trillion in Europe next year: financial firm

Financial firm Goldman Sachs says European households’ energy bills will rise by $2 trillion next year.

According to a foreign news agency, the financial firm Goldman Sachs says that government intervention will be needed on the problem of increasing energy bills in Europe, while energy bills will account for 15 percent of Europe’s gross domestic product.

Financial firm Goldman Sachs says measures such as providing low-cost electricity by setting energy price caps are under consideration.

On the other hand, the news agency says that the European Union energy ministers will meet on Friday to discuss the issue in which energy problems and various proposals for their solution will be considered.
