Reports of an Accident Involving President Ebrahim Raisi’s Helicopter

According to the news agency, President Raisi was returning from inaugurating a dam in the border area between Iran and Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev was also present at the inauguration.

State media reports that the helicopter carried Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, East Azerbaijan Governor Malek Rahmati, and Ayatollah Mohammad Ali, the President’s representative in the province.

Officials Remain Hopeful Despite Alarming News from the Crash Site

Iranian officials remain hopeful regarding the President’s safety, although news from the crash site is concerning.

In the meantime, Iranian Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri has ordered the Revolutionary Guard, military, and police to utilize all their capabilities in the search for the President’s helicopter.
