New Delhi, September 21 (KMS) Indian National Congress has said that the land situation in India has become so bad that every hour an average farmer is forced to commit suicide.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrineet while addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in New Delhi termed the Modi government as anti-farmer and said that a total of 10,881 people related to agriculture have committed suicide in 2021. Referring to the data of the National Crime Bureau (NCRB), he said that from 2014 to 2021, more than 53 thousand farmers committed suicide in India. He said that every day 21 farmers are forced to commit suicide in a state of poverty and despair. are
The Congress spokesperson said that the question arises as to who forced the farmers to take this extreme step. He termed it as a result of Modi government’s failure and said that despite the pitiable condition of the farmers who produce food grains for the people in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is busy watching and spreading his lies. Referring to Dashrath Laxman Kedari, a farmer from Maharashtra, he said that in his suicide note, the farmer blamed Modi’s inaction for his suicide.
