Pro-Iran Protests Turn Deadly in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, Several Killed

Gilgit, pakistan administered Kashmir: At least seven people have been killed and more than 40 injured during pro-Iran protests in the northern city of Gilgit-Baltistan, according to local rescue official Zaheer Shah. The demonstrations were triggered by the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran.

Protesters in Gilgit-Baltistan reportedly set fire to the offices of the United Nations Military Observer Group, intensifying the chaos. Hospitals in the city confirmed dozens of injuries as emergency services struggled to manage the growing unrest.

Meanwhile, at least nine other people were killed during protests at the US consulate in Karachi, highlighting how demonstrations have spread to major urban centers. Eyewitnesses reported clashes between security forces and demonstrators as tensions escalated.
