First Software Technology Park Established in Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir – In a significant development, the Special Communication Organization (SCO) has inaugurated the region’s first Software Technology Park in Mirpur, aimed at providing modern facilities to foster the growth and opportunities for the youth of Azad Kashmir.

Situated at the heart of Mirpur city, the park covers an expansive 4,000 square feet area, connected to the Allama Iqbal Road, introducing state-of-the-art amenities to create new prospects for the advancement of the youth in Azad Kashmir.

The park boasts reception areas, conference rooms, meeting halls, seminar halls, workshops, and training facilities. Additionally, dedicated spaces have been designated for Vianna and social networking. Separate rooms have been constructed for women to cater to their specific needs.

Accessibility to the park is exceptionally convenient, featuring cafe terraces, a kitchen, a designated prayer area, and complete facilities for Zoom meetings, ensuring a well-rounded experience for visitors.

The SCO has implemented special arrangements to ensure the fastest internet connectivity in the park, emphasizing the importance of robust internet infrastructure.

The park’s opening is anticipated soon, and following its success, similar parks are planned for construction in Muzaffarabad and Poonch. In Azad Kashmir, aside from tourism, there is currently no other industry, making this initiative a significant step towards diversifying the region’s economic landscape.

Information technology is emerging as a major industry, and the Special Communication Organization is at the forefront of introducing such technological advancements to the region, aiming to propel Azad Kashmir into a new era of growth and development.
