Overview
Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party (JKNAP) is a secular, left-wing political party operating primarily in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and among the Kashmiri diaspora. Founded on 22 July 1995, it emerged from the Jammu Kashmir National Students Federation (JKNSF) to advocate for an independent, reunified Kashmir through democratic means.

In 2019, it was rebranded as the National Equality Party Jammu Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan & Ladakh (NEP JKGBL) during the 42nd UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva to broaden its representation across all regions of the former princely state.
