Kashmir Needs Your Voice
With internet services suspended in Pakistan-administered Kashmir since 6 June 2026, timely reporting has become increasingly challenging. The Azadi Times is inviting Kashmir-based writers and journalists to join our network of authors and contributors.
According to officials, the searches were carried out following the development of leads pointing to the use of fake appointment orders and fraudulent documentation designed to secure jobs within the police department. Investigators gathered physical and digital evidence from the site to trace individuals allegedly involved in the recruitment scam.
The operation is part of broader efforts by law enforcement agencies to crack down on job-rackets operating in the region. Authorities have warned job seekers against engaging with unauthorized middlemen or individuals promising employment in government departments through backchannel or fraudulent means.
Further details regarding arrests or specific suspects identified during Friday's raid are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
