Historical Background

Before the establishment of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Leepa Valley was part of Kupwara and Karnah in the larger Kashmir region.

The Qazi Nag Nala originates from the glaciers and springs of the Qazi Nag mountain range in Indian-administered Kashmir.
