Hattian Bala: Man Sets Himself on Fire Over Land Dispute

Date:

Hattian Bala: (Azadi Times) In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Hafiz Chowk witnesses a distressing incident as Syed Talib Hussain Shah, a resident of Hattian Bala, immolates himself amidst a land dispute. The dispute, reportedly, had escalated tensions in the area, leading to this extreme act.

According to sources, the dispute over land ownership had been brewing for some time, with both parties entrenched in a legal battle. However, the situation took a tragic turn when Shah, feeling the weight of injustice and allegedly succumbing to pressure from local mafias, decided to take matters into his own hands.

Eyewitnesses recount the harrowing scene as Shah, in a state of distress, poured petrol over himself before igniting the flames. Prompt intervention from bystanders prevented further harm, but Shah sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to CMH Muzaffarabad in critical condition.
