Mysterious Death of Government College Driver in Leepa Valley Sparks Demand for Investigation

0

Leepa Valley, Azad Kashmir (Azadi Times): The death of Chaudhry Naeem, the driver of Government Girls Degree College in Leepa Valley, has left the local community in search of answers.

Despite the passage of one and a half months since the incident, the true circumstances surrounding his demise remain elusive, fueling various speculations among the residents. In response, public circles are now calling for a thorough investigation led by the Inspector General of Azad Kashmir.

On June 20, 2023, Chaudhry Naeem, son of Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed, was discovered in an injured state near Nokot Street, where he fought for his life in the hospital for several days before succumbing to his injuries. Local sources reveal that the driver had visible signs of being beaten with a hockey stick or a similar object at the location where he was found. Interestingly, his motorcycle was also present at the scene and appeared to be undamaged. Efforts were made to portray the incident as an accident, but many locals firmly believe that Chaudhry Naeem was intentionally murdered.

During the incident, another person’s mobile phone was found alongside the driver, adding to the mystery. Yesterday, Gulam Allah Awan, a young political and social leader from Leepa, addressed a gathering and emphasized the need for an investigation into Chaudhry Naeem’s death. Awan expressed confidence that a thorough inquiry would unearth the truth behind the incident. However, as of now, no official investigation into the driver’s death has been initiated.

Sources indicate that initially, the heirs of Chaudhry Naeem filed a complaint at the Leepa police station regarding his death. However, for unknown reasons, the request was later withdrawn. When questioned, the driver’s brother clarified that they did not harbor suspicions against anyone, leading them to retract the complaint voluntarily and without any external pressure.

Responding to inquiries about the motorcycle’s seemingly undamaged condition, he explained that certain accidents occur without causing visible damage to the vehicle. He further stated that they admitted their brother to the hospital in critical condition, during which he remained unconscious. Consequently, they refrained from pursuing a post-mortem examination to avoid further distressing their deceased brother.

In light of the prevailing uncertainties, the public is demanding a high-level investigation into the death of Chaudhry Naeem. They have appealed to the Inspector General of Azad Kashmir to intervene and shed light on the circumstances surrounding the driver’s untimely demise.

The community anxiously awaits a resolution to this case, hoping that a thorough investigation will provide them with the truth they seek and bring justice to Chaudhry Naeem and his grieving family.

DJ Casper, creator of Cha Cha Slide, breathes his last after long battle with cancer

DJ Casper, famous for creating dance song Cha Cha Slide, left this world after long battle with kidney and liver cancer, confirmed his wife.

The musician, whose real name was Willie Perry Jr., breathed his last at age 58, almost seven years after he left his fans upset with news of his cancer diagnosis.

Speaking of his health scare, he told ABC7 that he has lost 180lb amid his battle with the deadly disease but still vowed to fight his cancer till the end.

“I used to weigh 236 pounds, and I think I’m about 60 pounds less,” he said. “If you know me, you know I’m not going to stop. I’m going to continue to go. I’m going to continue to go until I can’t go.”

“They diagnosed me in 2016 with two forms of cancer, which is renal and neuroendocrine, which is kidney and liver,” he shared.

“They went in to try to do surgery, and they found out the kidney was connected to the main artery, so they decided not to do it,” he said, adding they decided to “just treat it” instead.

Perry created the infamous Cha Cha Slide, one of the most popular line dances in history, in 2000, which went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart for five weeks.

“When I first did it, I did it as an aerobic exercise for my nephew at Bally’s,” the DJ said while reflecting on how he never thought it would become an international sensation.

“From there, it just took off,” he added. “I have one of the biggest songs that played at all stadiums – hockey, basketball, football, baseball, they played it at the Olympics.”

“It was something that everybody could do.”

Following his diagnosis, he expressed his desire to his fans to “keep on doing the Cha Cha Slide,” adding, “Anybody that’s going through cancer, know that you have cancer and cancer does not have you.”

Kirsten Dunst’s childhood interview about ‘awkward’ kiss with 31-year-old Brad Pitt resurfaces

0

Kirsten Dunst made headlines recently as an old interview about her “awkward” kiss with Brad Pitt resurfaced. The scene was filmed for the movie Interview with the Vampire when she was just 11 years old.

In the clip, Dunst candidly expresses feeling “awkward” about the on-screen kiss with the 31-year-old Pitt. Her perspective on the scene hasn’t changed much over the years, as she continues to maintain a less-than-positive view of the situation.

Released in 1994, the film marked a significant breakthrough for Dunst, as she portrayed the character of Claudia, a 10-year-old girl who becomes a vampire after being turned by Louis de Pointe du Lac (played by Brad Pitt) and Lestat de Lioncourt (played by Tom Cruise).

In an old interview circulating on TikTok, the Spider Man actress explains how she felt ‘awkward’ about the kiss because “he’s a man so why would I enjoy kissing him?”

The interviewer questioned her about it again right away, to which she reiterated: “Brad is 31, I mean, he’s not exactly a boy.”

Angry TikTok users completely agree with the actress, with one writing, “The fact that she had to explain?”

The resurfaced interview has prompted netizens to criticize both the interview itself and the film.

Another user wrote: “They expected her to have a different answer?”

The actress has spoken about the scene many times after Interview With The Vampire.

Speaking to Conan in 2014, Dunst said: “I thought it was disgusting.”

“I was 11, it would’ve been weird if I was like “this is amazing.”‘

Despite calling it “the worst thing” about the film, she clarified: “Other than that I was treated like a total princess on that set.”

She also sings praises of the Fight Club star, who “was like my older brother on set.”

UN Security Council Resolution 1947: A Missed Opportunity for Peace in Kashmir

0

On April 21, 1948, the United Nations Security Council passed Resolution 1947, calling for the withdrawal of all troops from Pakistan and the reduction of troops from India.

The resolution also called for the return of all refugees, the release of political prisoners, and the holding of a referendum to determine the future of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

This resolution was a major opportunity for peace in Kashmir. It offered a way to end the conflict between India and Pakistan and to give the people of Kashmir a say in their own future. However, Pakistan has never implemented this resolution, and the conflict in Kashmir continues to this day.

There are many reasons why Pakistan has not implemented Resolution 1947. Some argue that Pakistan is afraid of the outcome of a referendum, in which the people of Kashmir might choose to join India. Others argue that Pakistan is simply unwilling to give up its claim to Kashmir.

Whatever the reason, Pakistan’s refusal to implement Resolution 1947 has had a devastating impact on the people of Kashmir. The conflict has caused widespread death, displacement, and poverty. It has also created a climate of fear and mistrust, making it difficult for the people of Kashmir to live in peace.

The people of Kashmir deserve better. They deserve to live in a free and peaceful state, where they can determine their own future. The only way to achieve this is for Pakistan to implement Resolution 1947 and for the two countries to sit down at the negotiating table to find a lasting solution to the Kashmir conflict.

On the 75th anniversary of Resolution 1947, we must redouble our efforts to bring peace to Kashmir.

We must hold Pakistan accountable for its failure to implement the resolution, and we must pressure both countries to find a negotiated solution. The people of Kashmir have waited long enough for peace. It is time for them to have their voices heard.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have named their youngest son after the ‘secret weapon’ of the Royal family.

The Prince and Princess of Wales became parents to Louis Arthur Charles in 2018, three months after which he was christened.

The young Prince is named after Lord Louis Mountbatten, an uncle of Prince Philip and the youngest brother of his mother Princess Alice of Battenberg.

Lord Louis also often referred to King Charles III as his “honorary grandson” and took his responsibility from an early age.

Lord Mountbatten was dubbed a “secret weapon” of the Royal Family due to his profound support in preparing King Charles for his royal destiny.

The former viceroy of British India passed away in August 1979 after being hit by an IRA bomb on a family trip.
