Azad Kashmir Business Forum Calls for Increased Support for Businesses in State

Muzaffarabad: (Azadi Times) A pre-budget seminar was organized in Muzaffarabad on June 3, 2023, by the Business Forum of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. The seminar was attended by business leaders, politicians, and social activists.

The purpose of the seminar was to discuss the challenges facing businesses in Azad Kashmir and to make recommendations to the government on how to support the business community.

One of the key challenges facing businesses in Azad Kashmir is unemployment. The literacy rate in Azad Kashmir is higher than in all the provinces of Pakistan, but there are no major industries and limited business opportunities. As a result, many young people are forced to compete for government jobs.

The seminar participants called on the government to take steps to promote business and entrepreneurship in Azad Kashmir. They suggested that the government could provide tax breaks, loans, and other incentives to businesses.

They also called on the government to improve the infrastructure in Azad Kashmir, such as roads, electricity, and water supply. This would make it easier for businesses to operate and would attract more investment to the region.

The seminar participants expressed hope that the government would take their recommendations into consideration when drafting the next budget.

They believe that with the right support, the business community can play a major role in reducing unemployment and stimulating economic growth in Azad Kashmir.
