JKAAC Planned Protest Across Poonch Division Against Unauthorized Arrests

Trarkhel: In response to the recent unauthorized arrests of senior member of Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JKAAC), the committee (JKAAC), led by Umer Nazir Kashmiri and his associates, has announced plans for widespread protests across the Poonch Division and major cities of Azad Jammu Kashmir (Pakistan administered Kashmir).

The decision to protest comes after members of the committee, including Sardar Shabir, Sardar Aman Kashmiri and his companions, were unlawfully arrested Baloch, Azad Kashmir.

Prior to their arrest, the group was subjected to an attack on their convoy when they were going to attend a tourism festival in Char Bayar. Upon reaching the police station to report the incident, Baloch police arrested them.

In response to these developments, JKAAC has called for a protest starting at 1 p.m. today (June 11, 2024), Tuesday, at the Post Graduate College Ground in Rawalakot. The protest aims to denounce the arbitrary arrests and demand the immediate release of the detained individuals.

Furthermore, JKAAC has resolved to extend the protests beyond Rawalakot, Kotli planning protests in all major cities across the state, including Capital Muzaffarabad.

This decision underscores the committee’s commitment to upholding democratic principles and protecting the rights of its members.

The escalating tensions between JKAAC and the authorities highlight the growing discontent over perceived injustices and the need for meaningful dialogue to address grievances and restore trust between the government and its citizens.
