Malawi’s Vice President’s Plane Reported Missing

Malawi’s Vice President, Saolu Klaus, and ten others have gone missing after their aircraft disappeared from radar shortly after takeoff.

The flight was en route from Lilongwe, the capital city, to Mzuzu International Airport, scheduled to land at 10:02 AM local time. However, at 9:17 AM, the aircraft took off from Lilongwe but failed to reach its intended destination.

According to reports from Malawi’s presidential office, all attempts to establish contact with the missing plane have been futile. The authorities are currently coordinating search and rescue efforts to locate the aircraft and its passengers.

Saolu Klaus, along with the other individuals on board, were headed to Mzuzu for an official engagement. The sudden disappearance of the aircraft has sparked concerns and prompted intensified efforts to locate it.

The exact circumstances surrounding the disappearance remain unclear, and authorities are working tirelessly to gather more information. Updates on the situation are expected as the search operations continue.
