Kashmiris Hopes US President Joe Biden Will Raise Kashmir Issue With Indian PM Narendra Modi

Muzaffarabad: (Azadi Times) All Party Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC) convener Mehmood Ahmed Sagar has expressed Kashmiris hopes that US President Joe Biden will raise the Kashmir issue with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to America.

In a letter to President Biden, Sagar said that the Kashmiri people hope that the US leadership, which has always raised the issue of serious violations of human rights during India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, will take a bold stand and raise the issue of Kashmir during Modi’s visit to America.

The letter further states that the Kashmiri people believe that the United States under the dynamic leadership of President Biden will continue its efforts for a just and dignified solution to the long-standing dispute in Kashmir.

The letter laments that the apartheid government of India led by Modi has continued its oppressive decisions to deny the rights of Kashmiris and rob them of their identity.

The letter reminds the US administration that the long-standing Kashmir issue is the root cause of human rights violations in the South Asian region.

The Kashmir conflict has long been on the United Nations agenda and has taken a more dangerous turn since the Hindu nationalist government stepped up its nefarious attempts to change the demographics of the occupied territory.

The letter further states that Genocide Watch has already warned about the ongoing genocide of Kashmiris in Jammu and Kashmir and urged the United Nations and its members to stop India from committing genocide against Kashmiris.

In the aforementioned letter, the Kashmiri people have appealed to President Biden to take up the issue of resolving the long-standing Kashmir dispute with the Indian Prime Minister.

The letter expressed confidence that under the active leadership of President Biden, the United States will continue its efforts for a just and peaceful resolution of the long-standing Kashmir dispute.
