Rawalakot: (Azadi Times) In an earnest effort to honor the legacy of the revered national hero, Muhammad Maqbool Butt, preparations are in full swing for commemorating his invaluable contributions to the nation’s political and social landscape.
The occasion marks the anniversary of his martyrdom, a solemn event that resonates deeply within the hearts of many across the state of Jammu Kashmir Including Pakistani-controlled Jammu & Kashmir.
Under the leadership of Sardar Sabir Kashmiri, Chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), a pivotal meeting was convened to meticulously plan the series of events slated to unfold in connection with Butt’s martyrdom. The gathering served as a platform to finalize arrangements for ceremonies both within and beyond the state.
During the assembly, emphasis was placed on the active involvement of JKLF and Kashmir Students Liberation Front workers to ensure the success of commemorative programs.
Chairman Sabir Kashmiri Advocate urged these dedicated individuals to play a pivotal role in various locations, including Rawalakot, where a joint commemoration of Maqbool Butt’s martyrdom is set to take place.
Reflecting on Butt’s unwavering commitment to the unity of Jammu and Kashmir, national liberation, and the eradication of oppression, Chairman Sabir Kashmiri underscored the significance of learning from past missteps. He emphasized the importance of embracing principles of self-confidence and self-reliance to fulfill the mission envisioned by the martyrs.

The meeting witnessed the participation of key figures including Senior Vice President Wahab Shaheen, Members CC Javaid Akhtar, Sardar Abdul Jabbar, Manzoor Mir, Zahoor Iqbal, Amjad Hussain, Amjad, Ziladar Ponch, General Secretary Mohammad Shahzad, and Sardar Haneef, among others.
