Israel Strikes Yemen’s Sanaa Airport Again, Passenger Plane Destroyed

Sanaa, Yemen (International Correspondent) – Israel has launched another missile attack on Sanaa International Airport in Yemen, destroying a passenger plane and severely damaging the runway, according to Houthi officials.

Details of the Attack

Houthi authorities reported that four missiles targeted the airport, rendering it inoperable. A civilian aircraft was completely destroyed in the strike, though no casualties have been confirmed yet.

This marks the second major attack on the airport in recent weeks. On May 6, Israeli airstrikes previously disabled the airport, requiring over a week of repairs before flights could resume.

Escalating Tensions in the Region

The attack comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, with Yemen’s Houthi movement—an ally of Iran—frequently clashing with Saudi-led coalition forces and facing accusations of ties to regional conflicts.

While Israel has not officially claimed responsibility, Houthi officials blamed the strike on “Israeli aggression,” warning of severe consequences. The attack further disrupts critical humanitarian flights in a country already devastated by years of war and blockade.
