J&K CM Omar Abdullah shared the personal milestone on social media, drawing congratulatory messages and widespread public attention.
SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced his marriage to senior journalist Nidhi Razdan, marking a personal milestone that drew widespread attention across social media platforms.
Abdullah shared photographs of the ceremony on X on Saturday, accompanied by the caption, “A new journey began yesterday Nidhi,” along with a ring emoji. The announcement indicated that the wedding took place on Friday, October 30.
The news prompted an outpouring of congratulatory messages from across the political and media spectrum. Abdullah and Razdan have made several public appearances together in recent years. Razdan attended Abdullah’s swearing-in ceremony in October 2024, and the two were later associated with a gathering at Kashmir House in New Delhi in 2025. Their most recent public appearance together took place at the International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir in Srinagar in September 2026.
The personal update arrives during a politically active period for the Chief Minister’s administration, which recently underwent a Cabinet expansion following reported internal discussions within the ruling National Conference. Meanwhile, the administration is preparing for the upcoming semi-annual Darbar Move, scheduled for November 3.
