The residents say that this is not the first time that wild animals have entered the populations of the Jhelum Valley and killed people’s property. They say that leopards and lions have killed valuable animals worth lakhs of rupees across Jhelum.

The Wildlife Department has said that they are aware of the incident and that they are taking steps to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. They have said that they will deploy more guards in the area and that they will work with the local police to track down the leopard.

The incident has highlighted the need for better coordination between the Wildlife Department and the local police. It is also a reminder of the dangers that wild animals pose to people living in rural areas.
