Apni Party workers demanded the rollback of the electricity bill hike, arguing that the increase has placed a heavy financial burden on ordinary citizens. They expressed concerns that the rising electricity costs are causing significant distress among the general populace.

Led by the party’s State Secretary and Chief Spokesperson Muntazir Mohiuddin, and Srinagar District President Noor Muhammad Sheikh, the protest highlighted several immediate public grievances and issues.

The demonstration took place near the party’s headquarters at Sheikh Bagh, Srinagar. However, the police prevented the demonstrators from marching towards Lal Chowk.

The protesters called for immediate action to address their concerns, emphasizing that the hike in electricity bills is just one of the many pressing issues faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
