According to reports from IRNA, the Iranian news agency, Saraya al Ashtar the Bahraini Islamic Resistance Group released a statement today, confirming their responsibility for the drone assault.

Citing sources from Arab media outlets, the group emphasized that the attack was a direct response to the continued siege on Gaza and the relentless aggression of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian population.

They warned that as long as the oppression persists, they will continue to target Zionist installations as a form of resistance.

This recent drone attack follows a similar operation conducted by Saraya al-Ashtar last Tuesday, where they targeted another significant Zionist center in the occupied territories of Palestine.

The repeated actions by the Bahraini Islamic Resistance Group reflect a growing determination to challenge the Zionist occupation and stand in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people.

Mir took to social media to announce a rally scheduled for May 6.

The Committee has forwarded a formal message to the Government of Azad Kashmir, urging the dispatch of Pakitani police (FC&PC) forces to Azad Kashmir in anticipation of ongoing protests and a long march planned for May 11.

The long-standing grievances of Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee, including demands for basic human rights, subsidies on electricity bills, and essential commodities, have fueled discontent among the populace, prompting the Committee’s decision to stage the protests.

However, the response from the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Government, advocating the deployment of Pakistani troops to manage the protests, has sparked tensions within the region.

The decision has been met with condemnation from various political parties and leaders, including the Jammu Kashmir Bar Council, who view it as an infringement on civil liberties and an excessive use of force.

World Press Freedom Day and Azad Jammu and Kashmir

0

Muzaffarabad: As the world celebrates World Press Freedom Day on May 3, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (Pakistan-administrred Jammu and Kashmir) solemnly remembers its journalists who have made sacrifices in pursuit of truth.

Despite facing punitive measures from government institutions, these brave journalists have illuminated the issues facing the people.

In contrast to the global shift towards electronic media, Azad Jammu and Kashmir grapples with a dearth of media and electronic media facilities.

While a few Urdu-language electronic media outlets exist, there is a conspicuous absence of national or international news portals, websites, or satellite TV channels in Azad Kashmir. Consequently, the region’s inhabitants are deprived of a unified media platform.

Journalism in Azad Kashmir remains primarily reliant on print media, yet it lags significantly behind current global standards.

Given its status as a disputed territory, with tensions between India and Pakistan, the need for international media presence and resources in this region is paramount.

International media companies and resources could bridge this gap, ensuring that the voices and stories of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are heard on a global scale.
