Priyanka Chopra is touching upon a ‘weird’ fact about Nick Jonas told to her by her mother-in-law.

Speaking on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the mother-of-one reveals how she was watched on TV by Nick as she won Miss World 2000.

“My mother-in-law was like, ‘I remember watching you when you won,'” Priyanka began.

“She was like, ‘I remember it so clearly, because it was November, Nick was on some Broadway show at seven years old, his brother was on some Broadway show at eight or nine,’ and she said, ‘I remember this clearly because Kevin Sr.’ — my father-in-law — ‘loves watching pageants and he was watching it and Nick came down and watched you win.'”

“Which is unfathomable,” she told Hudson. “It was 22 years ago or something. He was seven, I was 17 and he was sitting there. It was just so weird.”

Speaking about her former love flames and failed romances, Priyanka added: “I do believe that people are meant to be with each other for whatever that duration in your life is meant to be.”

“And I think that people collide because you’re supposed to create, on this short life that you have, memories … family. And I think that Nick and I have through our lives, had these weird, enchanted little moments, but it’s lovely now to have found your person.”

Rita Ora, who tied the knot with Taika Waititi last summer in an intimate ceremony, has revealed that she didn’t want any ‘special attention’ on the day.

The 32-year-old singer has shared new details about her secret wedding to the Oscar-winning director.

Surprisingly, the ceremony was planned in just 48 hours and the only guests to attend in person were the singer’s Taika’s two daughters from his first marriage and Rita’s sister Elena.

She continued: “My sister was there, which was amazing for me. And he had his girls there, which was amazing for him. It was a dream. My parents were on Zoom.”

The low-key wedding ceremony mimicked the muted proposal, with Rita recalling: ‘Honestly, there was no real getting down on one knee. It was more like, “I want to marry you. Let’s just do it.”‘

Rita, who has not shared any photos from the big day, added: “I naturally gravitated towards having a God and there being a Jesus and me following that route. That was just me. But I, again, praise my God in my own way. And so that’s the way I’m giving out my energy with my family.”

The Writers Guild of America strike has put brakes on Game of Thrones new spinoff A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight.

Writing on his blog, George R. R. Martin confirmed the writers’ strike has halted the fantasy show.

“The writer’s room on A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS: THE HEDGE KNIGHT has closed for the duration,” he penned.

“[Showrunner] Ira Parker and his incredible staff of young talents are on the picket lines.” the writer said.

However, another prequel House of the Dragon is on its path to completion, after its season two scripts were ready.

“Dragon started filming April 11 and will continue in London and Wales,” adding, “The scripts for the eight s2 episodes were all finished months ago, long before the strike began.

Every episode has gone through four or five drafts and numerous rounds of revisions, to address HBO notes, my notes, budget concerns, etc. There will be no further revisions. The writers have done their jobs; the rest is in the hands of the directors, cast and crew… and of course the dragons.”

Fans of ABC’s GMA3 are making public their wish for Sam Champion to replace former hosts Amy Robach and T.J Holmes permanently.

“He has the personality and following to get the show back on track plus a great journalist as well as well known meteorologist.”

Interestingly, the host responded to comments in his favour saying, “Awwwww. Thank u for ur kind words,” with a love heart emoji.

Previously, Robach and Holmes exit from GMA3, ABC has still not filled in the permanent replacement of the hosts.

The network, it seems, is engaging in experiments as they are putting temporary hosts on the seats of the once permanent anchors.

Last week, Jess, who boasted half a million followers on Instagram, officially entered the GMA team.

James Gunn earlier announced that this will be his final “Guardians” film, as he shifts his focus to DC Studios, where he is set to direct a new “Superman” movie slated for release in 2025.

Gunn also revealed that that Rocket’s story is the core of the final film in the franchise. The director emphasised that it was important for him to tell Rocket’s whole story.

“It was very important for me to tell that whole story,” he said. “That was the main thing that kept me driven during the making of this movie because I felt like it was important as far as these things can be…The first story is the story of the mother; the second film is the story of the father; and this film is the story of the self so it’s innately more intimate because of that.”

Gunn added that Rocket, the weapons expert of the group, is the character the director relates to the most. “Rocket’s the one I feel close to, so this is my story.”

The final chapter of the Guardians franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 began showing in theatres on May 5.
