Secretary Planning and Development and Secretary Communication and Works will be members of this committee. The committee will be in close contact with the governments of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and the Federal Ministry of Communications and the National Highway Authority.

 

The committee will also be in touch with a similar committee nominated by the Gilgit-Baltistan government. The Government of Pakistan and the Governments of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will examine the possibilities of cooperation.

The committee may involve experts to achieve the objective. The committee may also change the plan of action to achieve the objective. The project is important for Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

 

The completion of this project will reduce the travel time from Gilgit to Islamabad by eight hours and the best tourism and economic activities will be achieved on this route which will benefit the people of both regions.
