PM Anwar Haq Thanks AJK Assembly for Approving 15th Constitutional Amendment

Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chaudhry Anwar Haq has thanked the AJK Legislative Assembly for approving the 15th constitutional amendment.

In a speech to the assembly on Tuesday, Haq said that the amendment would “break the stasis” and allow the government to “do a year’s work in a month.”

He also said that the amendment would not cost any more money than the previous system, which had 16 ministers. Haq said that the expenses of the ministers would be met by reducing 80% of the expenses of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Haq thanked the PML-N, PPP, like-minded friends, and PTI Azad Kashmir friends for not obstructing the progress of the house. He said that the government’s job is to tolerate criticism and that he is a “trained political activist, not the product of any accident.”

Haq said that the assembly is the source of power and that as the prime minister, he gave the first order to implement the speaker’s ruling. He said that Latif Akbar is a dedicated political activist who will lead the House in a better way.

The 15th constitutional amendment was approved by the AJK Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. The amendment gives the Prime Minister the power to appoint ministers without the approval of the assembly. It also reduces the number of ministers from 16 to 12.

The amendment has been met with mixed reactions. Some people have welcomed it, saying that it will allow the government to function more efficiently. Others have criticized it, saying that it gives too much power to the Prime Minister.

It remains to be seen how the amendment will impact the AJK government. However, it is clear that Prime Minister Anwar Haq is confident that it will be a positive change.
