AJK Supreme Court rejects Tanveer Ilyas’ against disqualification

MUZAFFARABAD: (Azadi Times News Desk April 12, 2023), The AJK Supreme Court rejected the appeal against the disqualification of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas. Sardar Tanveer Ilyas had filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the decision of disqualification.

 

Chief Justice AJK Saeed Akram remarked that the title of the appeal is not correct, Tanveer Ilyas is written in it as the Prime Minister, if he is the Prime Minister, why is there a need to file an appeal, whether the decision is right or wrong will be discussed later. You file an appeal again, we will see.

On the other hand, after the disqualification of Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas in the contempt of court case, senior minister Khawaja Farooq Ahmed became acting prime minister. Until the election of a new prime minister, Khawaja Farooq performed the duties of acting prime minister. President Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood signed and sent the summary.

 

While Chairman PTI Imran Khan summoned Abdul Qayyum Niazi to elect the new Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. In the meeting at Zaman Park, MLA Important Kashmiri leaders including Ghulam Mohiuddin Diwan were also present. Former Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi arrived at Zaman Park to meet Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan.

Imran Khan issued important instructions to him during the meeting. It should be noted that the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, was disqualified for adopting a threatening tone in the speech.

 

A contempt of court case was heard against the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Tanveer Ilyas. Azad Kashmir Prime Minister disqualified in contempt of court case. Azad Kashmir Prime Minister dismissed from office by Azad Kashmir High Court. During the hearing, three controversial clips of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas were also shown in the court.

 

Tanveer Ilyas said in front of the court that if my words offended me, I apologize unconditionally. The court did not accept the apology request of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. Prime Minister Azad Kashmir was sentenced until the court dismissed him. The court disqualified Sardar Tanveer Ilyas from holding any public office.
