The famous case of murder in Shariah in 2022, which remained in the limelight of print and social media for several months, saw a significant development as the case filed by the government against Dawood and others was dropped.

The 17-month-long trial, involving five accused, remained under scrutiny, with Advocate Zafar Iqbal Mughal representing the prosecution while Advocates Sajid Maqbool, Gohar Zaman Abbasi, Shaqil Ahmed Kiani, Raja Jameel Sadiq, Madathar Nasir Abbasi, and Mohammad Raees Khan assisted the defendants.

Through the efforts of defense counsels, the famous murder case was concluded with a settlement agreement, thanks to the efforts of the defense counsels.
