Former Lt Commander Khalid Mahmood has dedicated his property in Trar, Rawalakot, to establish the Shazib Habib Health Center, expanding his ongoing philanthropic efforts for underprivileged residents.

RAWALAKOT — In a remarkable act of philanthropy, retired Pakistan Navy Lieutenant Commander Khalid Mahmood has donated his personal building in Trar, Rawalakot, to establish a health center dedicated to public service.

Named the "Shazib Habib Health Center," the facility is established on private land owned by Mahmood, with the core objective of providing accessible medical care to deserving and underprivileged residents of the area.

Local community members noted that the initiative transforms a personal asset into an enduring charitable institution. Mahmood has a long-standing history of community service in the region. He previously established a welfare organization named "Khair-ul-Nas," which continues to provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable families.

The newly established health center aims to serve as a vital medical resource for patients in need, operating as a continuous act of charity (*Sadaqah Jariyah*) dedicated to the memory of Shazib Shaheed. Residents and community leaders have praised the initiative, emphasizing the role of such selfless contributions in supporting local healthcare infrastructure in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
