ISLAMABAD — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has intensified preparations for its planned anti-government protest march in Islamabad scheduled for September 27, amid ongoing political tensions and legal scrutiny over public demonstrations.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan warned authorities that any use of force against party workers could further escalate the political situation. He emphasized that the party intends to keep the demonstration peaceful and within constitutional and legal boundaries.
Ahead of the planned rally, the Islamabad High Court issued directives concerning the use of state machinery during political protests. The court ruled that no political party or leader holds the legal right to block roads, highways, or public spaces, underscoring the necessity of maintaining public order and freedom of movement.
