The absence of a functional transformer in Girls Degree College has not only disrupted lectures in the laboratories but has also become a symbol of the systematic neglect faced by educational institutions in the region. Faced with low voltage and substandard facilities, the students have taken a stand against the oppressive conditions that hinder their educational progress.

The protest, organized by the students, gained traction as they blocked Sahnsa Badli Road near JS Bank Road, causing a significant disruption to the local traffic. Assistant Commissioner Sahnsa, Yaser Mahmood Chaudhry, Tehsildar Muhammad Ishaq, and Chairman of Municipal Committee Sahnsa, Raja Shakil Zia, engaged in negotiations with the students, recognizing the validity of their demands and the urgency for immediate action.

As the protest unfolded, Raja Shakil Zia reached out to Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq, a prominent member of the Assembly and a staunch advocate for the freedom movement, to seek his support and intervention. The students found solace in the assurance provided by Akhlaq, and as a result, temporarily halted their protest.

However, the students have set a ten-day deadline for the Sahnsa administration to fulfill its promises, particularly in providing a functioning transformer to Girls Degree College. This united front of Kashmiri students, aligned with the pro-freedom political party, sends a resounding message of solidarity, resilience, and determination in the face of systemic neglect and oppression.

The protest in Sehnsa serves as a poignant reminder of the larger struggle for self-determination and freedom in Azad Kashmir. The students’ demand for accountability and improved infrastructure resonates with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, who have long yearned for justice, equality, and the right to determine their own destiny.

As the deadline approaches, the Sahnsa administration finds itself under scrutiny, as the students remain steadfast in their pursuit of justice and a better future. The protest not only highlights the pressing issues within the education system but also emphasizes the need for broader reforms that address the fundamental rights and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The resolute stance of Kashmiri students in Sehnsa echoes the collective voice of a generation that seeks to shape its own destiny, free from the shackles of oppression. Their unwavering determination serves as a beacon of hope, inspiring others to join the struggle for freedom and justice in the region.
