Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir | June 27: A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck near Kalafgan, Afghanistan, at approximately 6:35 PM (local time) on Friday, sending tremors across Azad Kashmir, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and other northern parts of Pakistan.
According to preliminary seismic reports, the earthquake’s epicenter was located near Kalafgan in northeastern Afghanistan. Residents in Muzaffarabad and several other cities reported feeling strong tremors, prompting many people to evacuate their homes, offices, and commercial buildings as a precaution.
