According to local authorities, all routes leading to the central commercial hub of Lal Chowk were blocked late in the evening using barbed wires, metal sheets, and heavy barricades. Additional police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed, and surveillance around the Ghanta Ghar area has been intensified.

A senior government official told UNI:
“Given the risk of large-scale protests, immediate measures were essential to ensure the safety of citizens and protection of property. Our top priority remains maintaining peace and law and order.”
