Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmed highlighted the government’s renewed focus on tourism policies and ongoing efforts to revitalize the sector. He underlined the government’s dedication to showcasing Kashmir’s natural beauty and peaceful environment on a global platform.

The meeting also strongly condemned the recent attack in Pahalgam, with participants expressing solidarity with the victims and reaffirming that such acts of violence are unequivocally rejected by the Kashmiri people. They stressed that these isolated incidents will not deter the valley’s peaceful future.

Mian Altaf described the ‘Kashmir Chalo’ campaign as a positive initiative receiving widespread support from tourism stakeholders nationwide. Speaking to journalists during the discussion organized by JKHC in Sonamarg, he said, “Every possible effort is underway to restore tourists’ confidence in Kashmir and to highlight the valley as a safe and hospitable place.”
