An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has ordered the blocking of passports for 25 leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
According to reports, the court issued the directive after accepting a police request filed in connection with a case registered in the capital. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been directed to block the travel documents of the named individuals until further orders.
The individuals targeted by the judicial order include prominent PTI figures and parliamentarians alongside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister.
The development comes as the opposition party prepares for a scheduled protest march in Islamabad. Party leadership has maintained that the upcoming demonstrations will remain peaceful and within constitutional and legal bounds.
