ISLAMABAD: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced to give nearly two and a half billion dollars in flood relief to Pakistan.

Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar met the Country Director of Asian Development Bank Yong Zee and the bank’s delegation.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the Finance Minister told the bank’s delegation about the ravages of the flood, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar gave a briefing on the impact of the flood on the country’s economy.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan’s economy is facing major challenges, the government has given the right direction to protect the economy from damage and economic development.

On this occasion, Asian Development Bank Country Director Yong Zi said that ADB will give up to 2.5 billion dollars in flood aid, the approval of the amount for the flood victims will be taken from the board this month.

Yong Ze said that 1.5 billion dollars will also be included in the aid to prevent floods due to climate change.
