Rawalakot: Double murder case, accused has old enmity with victim: SSP Rawalakot

RAWALAKOT: (Azadi Times) SSP Rawalakot Waheed Gilani said in a press conference along with other police officers regarding the double murder of Ali Sojal Noorkot a few days ago, that on the day of the incident, when we received information that a dead body was found in that area.

 

They are lying on the side of the road. We sent to a police party and soon found out that another body was lying in the forest. This was very alarming so another party headed by DSP Rawalakot was sent. During this time, all the roads leading out of Poonch were blocked.

Fear and panic had spread in the area. The police present at the spot were more concerned about the fact that there was no relationship between the murdered Gulnawaz and Mudassar.

 

He further said that the police team investigated very skillfully and after finding some evidence, a young man named Mazhar Naqi was arrested. In the initial investigation, the accused Iqbal committed the crime. The murder weapon was also recovered.

The reason for the murder is still under investigation. He said that these three murders that took place this year were blind and the accused were arrested. He also praised the IG and DIG of Police and said their guidance helped in controlling crime.

 

He said that the last decade of Ramadan is of great importance. We have increased patrols. He appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the police to control crime.
