Pampore, Indian Administered Jammu Kashmir: A group of labourers in Latribal, Pampore, staged a protest on Saturday against alleged harassment by a political leader, demanding an end to political interference in their wages. People’s Democratic Party (PDP) District President GM Shahoore strongly condemned the incident, calling it a grave injustice to the working class. In a statement, Shahoore expressed deep regret over the exploitation of labourers for political gains and demanded an immediate and impartial inquiry into the matter.

Shahoore also called on the BJP’s Union Territory president to clarify his party’s stance on the issue, questioning the alleged involvement of a BJP leader in the controversy.
“The exploitation of labourers for political purposes is unacceptable. We demand a fair investigation and immediate action against those responsible,” Shahoore said.
The protesting workers vowed to continue their fight until their concerns were addressed, warning that they would not succumb to any pressure or compromise on their rights.
