The final phase of AJK local body elections completed: Chief Election Commissioner AJK

Muzaffarabad: (Azadi Times – Newspaper) Chief Election Commissioner Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice Retired Abdul Rasheed Salharia today announced the results of the local body elections in Mirpur Division at the central control room of Election Commission in the state capital Muzaffarabad after the polling process was completed in Mirpur Division.

On this occasion, Abdul Rasheed Salharia expressed his gratitude to the Supreme Judiciary, Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Government of Azad Kashmir, Chief Secretary, IG Police, Pakistan Army, Lower Courts, all political leaders, government employees, media, Information Department, I Thanking the T Board, the Department of Local Government and especially the public.

He said that due to the excellent arrangements of the local government elections by all stakeholders and the cooperation of the people, the process of the local government elections should be completed in the best and most peaceful manner after three months. Gaya, today is the most important day in the history of Azad Kashmir. During the polling in the three divisions, the people proved to be conscious and responsible.

It was wonderfully peaceful for which all stakeholders deserve congratulations. Chief Election Commissioner Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice Retired Abdul Rasheed Salharia said that the turnout during the local elections in Azad Kashmir after three and a half years was exemplary, the local elections held after 31 years.

It was the most peaceful election in the history of Azad Kashmir, which goes to the credit of all the stakeholders. He said that the government of Azad Kashmir, especially the Chief Secretary, IG, Commissioners, DIGs, and DCs, are doing their best to maintain peace and order.

Pak Army, Judicial Officers, Punjab Police FC, KP Police Civil Servants, Azad Kashmir Police, Administrative Officers conscious and responsible citizens of the Azad region played their key roles.

Chief Election Commissioner Azad Jammu and Kashmir said that the media and information department played an important role in highlighting the importance of voting and encouraging people to exercise their right to vote peacefully through a wonderful campaign regarding local body elections. That all those who played their role in the organization of local body elections deserve to be congratulated.
