Azadi Times: Elon Musk is working on an alternative to the OpenAI company’s popular chatbot ChatGPT, a ‘more truth-seeking artificial intelligence’ he calls ‘TruthGPT’.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson In an interview with Twitter on Monday, the Twitter chief said that this artificial intelligence would try to “understand the nature of the universe” and could be “the best way to protect” because it is “unlikely to wipe out humans.”

He also blamed Google co-founder Larry Page. Implied that they are not taking artificial intelligence seriously. He, along with a group of artificial intelligence experts, urged in a previous warning to the industry that the potential risks to society should prevent the development of such systems.

The announcement comes against the backdrop of a broader crisis in Pakistan’s tech and startup ecosystem, which has been under stress since 2022.

In a letter shared last month, the experts It called on researchers to halt work on new artificial intelligence systems for the next six months and warned that governments should intervene if they don’t.

Leaders, including Elon Musk and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, have warned that while the potential for artificial intelligence is positive, people may face a more dire situation.

‘Artificial bits of intelligence are in an uncontrollable race to develop and use’, which no one, not even their creators, can understand, predict or reliably control.’ This interval should be made public and verifiable, and involve all key actors. If such a shutdown cannot happen immediately, governments must step in and impose a temporary ban.

However, media company Insider reported last week that Tesla is also secretly working on an artificial intelligence project on Twitter.

The report states that Elon Musk has already convinced two artificial intelligence scientists from companies like DeepMind to work with him and invest in 10,000 graphics processing units for the company.

It is possibly related to the Twitter founder’s new startup called X.AI, which he registered in the US state of Nevada last month.

Documents filed in the US state last week revealed that Elon Musk has merged Twitter into another entity called X Corporation, which is being touted as the future parent company of all his companies, including NeuralLink, SpaceX, Tesla, and the Boring Company.

The chief has said that advances in artificial intelligence technology are dangerous, with ‘the potential for civilizational catastrophe’. He told Tucker Carlson, ‘Artificial intelligence is far more dangerous than poor aircraft design or bad production maintenance or bad car manufacturing. ‘
