Harassed people in Abad, Kulgam Baramulla, Jammu, and Poonch districts. The NIA officials claimed that they seized various materials like documents, digital devices, SIM cards, and digital storage devices from the houses during the search operations. An Indian police officer told the media that these searches were conducted in connection with old cases related to anti-India activities.

The NIA had registered fake cases against several people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on June 21 last year. The NIA’s continuous raids belie the Modi government’s claims of returning so-called peace to Occupied Kashmir.

The fact is that the people of the Occupied Territories have been facing atrocities by the Indian Army, Police, and its infamous investigative agencies for more than seven decades and ever since the BJP-RSS-led Hindutva government took over. The series of legal measures continues and on August 5, 2019, repression has increased manifold in the occupied territory.
